Something yummy for your tummy!

OMG! I just made the best protein shake EVER! I like to call it vanilla almond chai protein shake. Heres what I did..

I make tea by the pitcher, like green mixed with an orange blend. Or roobis with a few cloves. Whatever tea you like make it and set it aside to cool, or you can add ice cubes to it after it has steeped for about 5mins.

For the protein I like to use vanilla Muscle Milk powder. I only use one scoop because 2 is just way too creamy for me, plus it's half the calories of 2 scoops. I mix that with 5-7oz of Almond Milk Original flavor and shake it up really well.  Then I add the tea, probably another 5-7oz and i mix it all together.

It's so delicious and refreshing and I get plenty of protein from the powder and the almond milk.  Healthy and delicious!

Try it!

I've died and gone to Heaven! NARS opens it's flagship store in NY

One of my most favorite make up companies has opened it's doors to a brand new store in the West Village, NY. The long awaited NARS boutique opened on February 10th and is located on Bleeker Street. I will be up that way soon and can not wait to indulge myself in all the creamy goodness NARS has in store! If you are in the Manhattan area, scoot over to NARS and check it out!

My Day/Night routine..

A bunch of my clients have asked me what my day/night routine is for cleansing and taking care of my skin. Well here it is. Products change (as they should) according to the weather/season. This is what I'm doing now.

Nighttime Routine: 1. Remove eye makeup with Almay Oil Free eye makeup remover pads.

2.Cleanse/Wash with Vivant's Mandelic Acid cleanser. Remove with warm wash cloth.

                             3. Tone with Witch Hazel or Suki's Balancing Toner. Apply to cotton pad and wipe face
and neck.

                             4. Apply Suki's Eye Repair Balm to my eye area

                             5. Apply Vivant's Mandelic Acid Serum all over my face and neck, avoiding my eye area

                             6. And Last I apply Aloe Vera Gel all over face and neck.

In the morning I do the same thing all over again with the exception of removing eye makeup and cleansing. I will just tone down and move on to the next steps.
I hope this helps.. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to try any of the Suki or Vivant, I have them in stock..

It all get's better with time..

Ok so new year, new me.. right? Well maybe still me just getting better with time :o)  Life has so many amazing lessons to teach us if we just stay true to ourselves and listen to our inner voice. I would like this year to be one that I get many things accomplished that I have been putting off for too long, become a better mother, wife, sister, friend. And learn to balance the CRAZE of running a business and family (if anyone has tips on that I'm open for suggestions..lol)  All I know is that forward is the only direction, don't dwell on the past, live in the present.

Got a call from a first time waxer this morning...

I just received a call from a first time client wanting to schedule an appointment for a brazilian wax. My first question to her (or anyone waxing for the first time) was, "is your hair completely grown out and ready to be waxed?" She informed me that she had shaved a week ago but her hair "grows really fast"...
I hear this all the time.. what is "hairy" to you may not always be the same to the professional. The thing about shaving is that the hair pattern begins to grow at different times. This ruins the growth cycle of the hair. So if you grow the hair out for a week after shaving there will only be a small amount of hair that has actually grown out. There is a whole cycle waiting to sprout. The best way to ensure a successful wax is to allow the hair to grow as long as possible 3-4 weeks before a first wax.
I WILL see clients with 2-3 weeks growth but I let them know that we will be waxing the hair we can see.. and they might experience some growth sooner than later.
Hope this helps :o)
